CNP Soccer Restart COVID-19 Recommendations

"Organized sports activities can reopen and operate under proper social distancing and sanitation protocols." Oklahoma Soccer Association has contacted the Governor's office and the Department of Commerce who structured the reopening phases. The "proper social distancing" applies to spectators and not players. This means players do not have to practice social distancing on the field during practices or games.  This is part of Oklahoma’s Phase 2.

Spectators

CNP Soccer strongly recommends the following guidelines for spectators:

  • Individuals at high risk are encouraged to remain in vehicle to watch the game, if possible.
  • Each family should try to sit at least 6 ft from the next family.
  • Use of the bleachers for this season is discouraged.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required unless required by a city ordinance.
  • Avoid hugging or shaking hands with other people.
  • Personal hand sanitizer is encouraged.
  • Portable facilities will be provided, but not maintained by CNP.
    • Irwin Septic will clean thoroughly once a week.
    • Use at your own risk, recommend avoiding if possible.
    • Use hand sanitizer after.
  • Anyone at high risk or showing any signs of COVID-19, should stay home and follow CDC guidelines.
  • Any other recommended CDC guidelines not listed here, should be followed.

Teams

CNP Soccer strongly recommends the following guidelines for teams and players:

  • Coaches and players should avoid as much personal contact while on the bench, if possible.
  • Coaches are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer or wipes for their teams and use when possible.
  • Players are discouraged from shake hands post game, but instead wave and say good game.
  • Post-game drinks and snacks should be provided by parents of each player instead of the whole team by one parent.
  • Limit use of target jerseys whenever possible and washed immediately after use.
  • Masks are not required but can be worn at the players option.
  • Any player showing any signs of COVID-19, should stay home and follow CDC guidelines.

When to quarantine from soccer

Direct contact is within the social distance parameters (within 6 ft. proximity for 15 minutes or more) with an individual who has
tested positive.

Indirect contact is coming in contact with someone who has been exposed to an individual testing positive or displaying symptoms, but not with that individual directly.

1.  If your player feels sick stay home. Get tested if running fever and have COVID like symptoms.
2.  If your player tests positive for COVID, stay home and quarantine until cleared by a doctor.
3.  If your player is in “Close Contact” (6ft for 15mins) of someone who tests positive for COVID, you must quarantine for the CDC recommended time frame (14days from exposure).
4.  If the school asks you to quarantine, please quarantine from practices and games.

*Indirect/secondary exposure does NOT require a quarantine.  This includes family members.

These are the recommendations from CNP Soccer.  If something was not mentioned or questions arise, please refer to the www.cdc.gov or www.okcommerce.gov for guidance on Phase 2.  CNP Soccer will not be on site enforcing social distancing.  Please use common sense and best judgement to help keep everyone safe.
